**Building Supervisor - Ann Street and Chermside**
We’re looking for a skilled tradesperson to join the Youi team and keep our buildings and facilities running smoothly. You'll be responsible for ensuring 24/7 uptime of building infrastructure, maintaining safe access for employees and visitors, and managing office relocations, including furniture and equipment. You’ll also ensure key machinery, like coffee machines and vending machines, stays in operation.
Your duties will include performing maintenance repairs within your qualifications, assisting with office upgrades and relocations, and overseeing contract workers to maintain high standards. Success in this role will be based on your ability to handle work tickets efficiently, perform preventative maintenance, and minimize equipment downtime to keep everything running smoothly.
**Ways of working**
As part of the Facilities team, you will report to the Building and Facilities Manager and work across both our Chermside and Ann Street locations.
Parking will be available when needed, and occasional travel to our HQ in Sippy Downs will be required, with access to a Youi Pool Car.
The standard working hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
**Key priorities**
- Conduct daily inspections of building facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Take a hands-on approach to promptly resolve any issues that arise.
- Follow all Workplace Health and Safety policies, ensuring personal and others' safety by reporting hazards and addressing concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with management and staff across the business.
- Coordinate with contracted services to ensure scheduled maintenance tasks are completed on time.
- Maintain a cost-conscious approach, prioritizing reuse and recycling over replacement, with a strong hands-on ability to repair and fix items and equipment.
**About you**
- Completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
- Trade qualification preferred (Electrical trade qualification desirable).
- Experience in facilities management or property maintenance.
- Ability to build strong, long-term relationships with service providers and internal clients.
- High attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer use, with intermediate skills in Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of basic building codes and guidelines (desirable).
- Strong understanding of WH&S legislation.
- Familiarity with call centre operations.
**How to apply**
For general enquiries, please contact Rodney Hayman (Building and Facilities Manager) or Bec Sparkes (Talent Acquisition Partner).
