**About the Role**
As a Bookings Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end booking processes and ensuring exceptional customer service. You'll support a diverse range of services across general charter, tourism, mining, and education sectors, contributing to the seamless operation of our transport solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Sales and Bookings Management**
- Accurately input and manage quotes, leveraging pricing tools and historical data.
- Follow up on quotes proactively to maximize sales conversions.
- Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism.
- Generate leads through cold calling and explore upselling opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to confirm job details and updates.
- Provide occasional reception desk support.
**Data Entry and Schedule Management**
- Enter and verify bookings for school runs, sports events, and charters.
- Maintain schedules for ongoing contracts, ensuring updates for holidays or special dates.
- Liaise with schools and clients to confirm and adjust schedules as needed.
**General Administration and Reporting**
- Support the Accounts Department with invoicing, payments, and adjustments.
- Resolve lost property inquiries and assist with route planning and charter itineraries.
- Prepare performance metrics reports, including booking conversions and unbilled jobs.
**Skills, Qualifications & Experience**
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service or administrative roles, ideally in bookings or transport-related environments.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data entry processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- A detail-oriented and analytical mindset for data and reporting.
