Seeking an experienced Property Manager for a State Government department in Perth CBD
**Your new company**
A leading State Government department located in the heart of Perth CBD, is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee and manage multiple office locations, whilst simultaneously leading the Property and Leasing team internally. You will be engaged on an initial temporary contract of 6-months, with view of extension offered to the right person. You will be required to work full-time hours, with flexible arrangements on offer. You will be required to occasionally go out to site across regional WA for fit-out inspections.
**Your new role**
As the Property Manager you will be responsible for all facilities and property assets owned by the department. You will be responsible for leading the Property and Leasing team, handling responsibilities including:
- Manage onsite accommodation capital and minor work projects from start to finish
- Responsible for budgeting and financial management for all property related project works
- Lead the procurement process for all property related works, including tendering
- Coordinate facility and maintenance repairs as required by offices
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships between consultants, contractors and colleagues
- Supervise staff and undertake training, mentorship and performance management as required
- Coordinate and lead accommodation and property meetings, preparing agendas
- Undertake metro and regional travel to conduct site inspections
- Ensure that all property assessments are in line with Government policies and procedures
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be considered for this role you will display previous Property Management experience within a Government department. In addition, you will display:
- A confident understanding on Government policies and procedures
- Strong financial and budgeting skills
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and team management
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- 'C' or 'CA' Class Western Australian Driving licence
- The ability to provide or willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance, if successful
**What you'll get in return**
You will be engaged in a State Government department, on an initial temporary basis with view of direct appointment offered to the right person. You will be required to work full-time hours, working in an office in Perth CBD. You will be rewarded with flexible working arrangements, and accommodation and fuel will be covered when visiting metro and regional sites.
