This role is a great opportunity for someone with strong governance experience who will support the organisation in being a leader in governance in local government. An understanding of local government, risk management, audit and compliance are also important aspects of this role. You will possess significant relevant experience.

**About the Position**

Reporting to the role of General Counsel, the Service Lead Governance and Council Support will work collaboratively across the City to deliver a contemporary and highly effective governance service. You will use your governance experience to support delivery of best practice principles in local government governance.

You will:

- Deliver ongoing training and support to the City and Elected Members to support best practice principles in local government governance
- Provide organisational wide support and advice across all corporate and administrative governance functions
- Manage and deliver best practice governance services to the organisation
- Provide leadership to the legal and compliance team
- Develop easy to read reports and
- Contribute to identification of opportunity for improvement to service delivery.

**Salary**: Enterprise Agreement Level Nine - $128,545 - $137,086
