We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HR Advisor/Team Leader to join our team.
In the capacity of **HR Advisor/Team Leader**, you will support service areas to effectively operate and deliver their core businesses through quality people leadership and management, by providing high quality HR advisory and support services.
**Key responsibilities**
- Partner with leaders to manage workforce planning, resourcing needs and rostering
- Work closely and consult with hiring managers to develop and implement innovative and targeted attraction strategies and provide dedicated support to programs experiencing high volume recruitment or low applicant response rates
- Coordinate the employee life-cycle including letters of offer, on-boarding new starters, variations and maintaining employee records, through to off-boarding
- Ensure all staff comply with worker screening check requirements and have up-to-date record
- Respond to general HR policy and procedure queries
- Work closely with leaders to develop and lead the delivery of induction and staff ongoing learning and development
- Oversee the annual engagement staff survey and action planning
- Provide advice and support leaders with managing employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary and grievances
- Support leaders with managing work cover claims and return to work
- Manage the health and safety committee and plan
- Provide regular HR reporting, insights, and recommendations
- Continually improve HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and resources
**Essential qualifications, experience, and screening**
- Full Covid 19 Vaccination certificate
- Tertiary level qualification in Human Resources and/or a certificate in delivering training is highly regarded but not essential
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screen Clearance
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Minimum two referee checks (Supervisor/Manager)
**About you**
Key to the success in this role is demonstrated ability in the below skills and experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in a HR or prior experience in a similar role within the community service or health/aged care or disability would be highly regarded
- Generalist HR knowledge and experience in providing advisory services
- Ability to understand and interpret award and employment legislation
- Written and verbal communication to effectively engage others, manage conflict and negotiate appropriate outcomes.
- An understanding of performance management processes.
- An understanding of and experience with investigating complaints, grievances, and allegations
- An understanding of best practice recruitment and retention strategies and trends
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and web-based systems
- An understanding of the NDIS quality and Safeguard Commission Practice Standards and disability care provision
A clear NDIS Workers Clearance Check and Working with Children Check are a condition of employment in this position.
