**About the role**:
**Duties**:

- Execute events designed to achieve Melbourne Polytechnic objectives
- Research and plan high profile institute level events
- Coordinate and execute all high-profile institute events
- Review and report back on institute level events
- Coordinate and execute all Marketing-led alumni engagement activities
- Other activities as negotiated with the Director of Marketing & Communications or Manager of Scholarships, Sponsorship & Events

**Skills and experience required**:

- A marketing or events qualification and/or equivalent industry experience with proven ability to manage high profile, large scale and complex events from planning to implementation and reporting (2 years or more).
- Proven ability to execute events that meet and support wider organisation objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage event budgets and reconcile finances.
- Demonstrated experience in building effective working relationships with and influencing a diverse range of key clients and stakeholders to meet set objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate large teams of events staff, volunteers and agencies.

**Desirable**:

- Experience with event management systems; EventsAIR and Asana.
- Experience in successfully delivering digital/virtual events.
- Experience in or knowledge of the higher education and vocational education sector.
- Experience in writing internal and external stakeholder communication for the purpose of events.
- A valid Australian Drivers Licence.
