Boasting a freshly refurbished lobby, rooms, restaurant and cafe, with the largest conference and events facilities within the Melbourne portfolio.

Novotel Melbourne Preston requires Conferencing, Sales and Events Manager can build relationships with new and existing businesses to achieve their conferening objectives

**Your duties will include**:

- Managing the Conference and Events budget, and controlling expenses by working with other department heads regarding food, beverage, and labour costs whilst balanced to correctly reflect our Novotel brand reputation and guest expectation.
- Identify creative and unique opportunities for banqueting experiences.
- Train and developing colleagues who are people passionate.
- and awareness of competitor offerings ensuring ours is at the forefront.
- Establishing and achieving quality and guest satisfaction goals, leading by example.
- Responding to any guest feedback in a timely and appropriate manner, with a view to continuously improve our practices.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients
- Create marketing collateral and campaigns to promote our venues, packages and specials
- Staying abreast of trends in the MICE space and reporting on competitor analysis and market trends
- Administrative duties including but not limited to compiling proposals and contracts, maintaining a database, regular sales reports and end of month reporting

**What we are looking for**:

- Polished verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Experience in a similar role within a 4-star resort or hotel is desirable
- Confidence, positivity and a go-getter attitude

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
