**Job Description**:
This department takes a leading role in the “how” we deliver products and services for use by the business and the customers, viewers, readers and listeners of Nine properties. It is the Centre of Excellence managing and promoting a continuous improvement culture to implement agile and lean methodologies within teams and promoting consistency of the product development life cycle across Product Engineering.

The Delivery Practice provides leadership for best practices within Agile and other delivery methodologies across the whole of the Product Engineering department. This provides all cross-functional development teams the guidance & support they need to operate effectively, from a functional, operational and cultural perspective.

**Core competencies include**:

- championing, training and coaching of agile methodologies (or other methods as warranted)
- educating practices and process to business stakeholders to ensure project alignment
- assisting engineering leaders to drive continuous improvement and manage change within their teams

From an individual team's perspective, support, educate and coach leaders to effectively manage initiatives and task backlog.

The Delivery Practice Lead is accountable for the effectiveness and growth of all delivery process aspects within cross-functional teams in Product Engineering.

This position requires regular interactions with Business Stakeholders and Product Owners to have an up to date view of initiatives’ pipeline and implement a consistent initiative lifecycle across Product Engineering.

You will work closely with Engineering Managers and Iteration Managers to help them effectively plan and run projects, including maintaining a backlog, developing a roadmap, prioritizing work with stakeholders, reporting on progress, allocating costs and creating a delivery structure that encourages sustainable development across a longer time horizon.

You will work collaboratively with other practice leads in the organization to provide a consistent and streamlined interface for the rest of the business to interact with the cross-cutting concerns managed by Practices across the department.

- Deep understanding of various delivery approaches
- Stakeholder management and ability to drive initiatives

**Desirable skills**
- Familiarity with JIRA
- Experience of working with multiple teams and stakeholders
- Experience with coaching Iteration Managers or Scrum Masters

**Additionally, you will be expected to**:

- Mentor a subset of the iteration managers and maintain a view of how iteration managers are contributing across the wider organization
- Identify and arrange the trainings for delivery team members
- Regular updates to senior management about how current delivery processes are working and when required suggest tweaks or alternate approaches
