As an Environmental Health Technical Officer you will work as part of a passionate Health Services team. This role provides a great opportunity to take on a diverse role in a highly successful team working towards our team mission of “Preserving the environment, protecting the community and providing for a healthy tomorrow.”

You will support the Health Services team by:

**What can you bring to the team?**
- A passion for public and environmental health and a desire to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our community.
- Tertiary qualifications equivalent to, or significant progress toward completion in either Food Safety, Public Health, Health Science, Environmental Science.
- Knowledge of scientific principles particularly regarding sample collection, analysis techniques and interpretation of data.
- Knowledge of compliance inspection, education and enforcement processes (desirable)
- Exceptional customer service skills and an ability to negotiate positive outcomes that benefit our community.
- An ability to work effectively and add value to the team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

**The finer details**

This permanent full-time Level 4 (depending on skills and experience) position attracts a pro-rata salary range of $79,213 - $85,172 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
