Who you are
As Logistics Coordinator you demonstrate a passion for stock, supply chain, and people’s life at home. You are an ambassador for keeping our environment safe for our co-workers and customers, ensuring excellent stock availability and continuous improvement of our operations. You have excellent communication skills and can influence and communicate effectively on all levels. You have strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate and support department operations. You will work across a span of hours that include early mornings, late nights and have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends. You will also be required to have a forklift ticket.
**Responsibilities**:
As Logistics Coordinator, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Coordinating and supervising the daily operations of the Logistics team to secure efficient and safe goods flow processes, including securing a safe environment for our co-workers.
- Assisting the team leader with unloading of containers, replenishment, and picking & packing customer orders.
- Providing feedback on team performance, analysing and implementing effective solutions where needed, optimising commerciality and securing excellence in operations.
- Contributing to the implementation of the unit business plan and other action plans including the implementation of the global and national sustainability strategies.
Together as a team
Together the Logistics team are behind the scenes that make sure IKEA products are always readily available to the many people. We use our supply process expertise to balance range and space. Forecasting, ordering and replenishing to provide customers with high availability while minimising costs. The Logistics function always challenges effective and efficient ways of picking up the products for our customers all with the end goal of working together to improve the customer experience at IKEA
