My Gateway has an exciting new opportunity for a Field Representative who can who can provide ongoing **support, guidance, and mentoring** to ensure success in training and employment for our apprentices and trainees.
**Why My Gateway?**
We're a dynamic and close knit team with a sense of purpose that extends to our relationships with our apprentices and trainees. We collaborate with schools, job providers, and local employers across industries to create opportunities and strengthen the local workforce. We employ school leavers (mostly) and place them with clients for on-the-job training and skill development.
**Job tasks and responsibilities**:
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of all relevant legislation, regulations and Government policies that affect the employment of apprentices/trainees
- Attend work related events outside standard business hours including but not limited to career expos, community presentations and award ceremonies
- Conduct mentoring site visits of apprentices/trainees and host employers in accordance with company policy, ensuring that all relevant communication with the Host, RTO and apprentice is documented
- Provide support and counseling to apprentices/trainees throughout the contract of training with a focus on maintaining ongoing employment and successful completion of the National Training Contract
- Manage apprentices/trainees throughout their employment by reviewing progress against the Training Plan every 6 months.
- Coordinate and monitor appropriate on and off the job training relevant to the individual and employment situation
- Assist the Return to Work Coordinator and the WHS Coordinator where required to support employees to safely recover and return to work following injury
- Develop and maintain an up to date knowledge of appropriate employment conditions with reference to awards and employment agreements and advise apprentices, trainees and employers where necessary
- Perform and participate in other associated activities as required by your manager to achieve the strategy and objectives of the division.

- Mentoring experience
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and monitoring to ensure success in training and employment.
- Highly motivated and result driven approach
- Experience in the VET sector, workforce development or labour hire preferrable
- Demonstrated advanced strategic networking and consultative sales skills
- Ability to present in a professional, confident and friendly manner, both in person and over the phone
- Excellent personal presentation with a professional, confident and friendly image
- An autonomous, self-starter with the ability to motivate other staff
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Satisfy Working With Children Check & driver's licence
