- Salary range from $90,877.84 - $98,372.47 per annum + 11.5% Superannuation
- Award increase from July 2025

**About the role**

Reporting to the Manager Leisure Services, we are seeking an experienced Leisure Services Activations Officer to join the team on a temporary full-time basis for up to 12 months. The Leisure Services Activations Officer coordinates the venue activation program and events for Council's Leisure Centres and the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands to enhance the engagement and activation with the Campbelltown community.

**Council's Leisure Services include**:

- Campbelltown Billabong Parklands
- Eagle Vale Central
- Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre
- Macquarie Fields Fitness and Indoor Sports Centre
- Minto Indoor Sports Centre
- The Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre

Working across all leisure sites, the key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Working with the Manager Leisure Services, Centre/Venue Manager team, and internal stakeholders to
initiate and plan activation programs and events at the Billabong Parklands and the broader Leisure
Services venues.
- Manage timelines and scheduling for all activation and events.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain partnerships with the Aboriginal Community.
- Assist the Leisure Services team in the operational aspect of program management for all activation
program events and major events including contractor supervision, crowd control and safety.
- Liaise with internal and external hirers and contractors to ensure successful activation programs and
events.
- Coordinate and manage activation program activities and all aspects of venue preparedness for all activation programs and events with consideration to the safety complexities of the aquatic environment.
- Develop, maintain and implement venue event documentation and plans.
- Undertake comprehensive research and write correspondence and reports in relation to Leisure
- Services activation programs and events.
- General working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Although, flexibility is required to work within the Award spread of hours between 5am-11pm dependent on the activations and events program and operational needs.

**To be considered for this opportunity, the succesful applicant will have**:

- Current NSW Working with Children ChecK, current Resuscitation Certificate and a current First Aid Certificate.
- Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate field relevant to the role of an Activation and Cultural Officer and or considerable experience in relevant field.
- Current Class C drivers license.
- Considerable experience in aboriginal cultural awareness.
- Extensive experience in coordinating activation programs and events inclusive of events of mass gatherings.
- Demonstrated experience in contractor inductions and management.
- Extensive experience or skills in scheduling and programming work and venue usage.
- Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Extensive administrative and organisational skills including high level systems, time management and report writing skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing a client database and booking system.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understand of relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice related to the aquatic, parkland and events management field.
- Demonstrated experience in managing risks and monitoring compliance with health and safety requirements within the activation and event context.
- High level interpersonal skills and the ability to deal appropriately with upper management, Councilors and community members.
- High-level organisational skill ls and the ability to plan workloads in an often reactive environment.
- Considerable experience in planning and coordinating to meet strategic outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment and keep calm under pressure.
