**The Program**
You In Mind has been commissioned since 2017 by the SWSPHN to provide psychological support to people in the SWS area who have mild to moderate psychological needs or living with severe mental illness. This program also collaborates with the SWSPHN peer support program to provide practical support to complement therapy and enhance the recovery journey.
Referral pathways: GPs and SWSPHN approved referrers via central intake.
**About **the Role**
This new intake officer role/ Administrator has been designed to triage and manage all NewAccess/YIM program enquiries from various referral points including the SWS Primary Health Network and direct referrals. This role will include fielding all referrals enquiries and booking appointments with clinicians.
Key responsibilities are not limited to but include:
- Providing all consumers with a warm and welcoming initial experience with NewAccess/YIM.
- Assessing eligibility for NewAccess/YIM.
- Scheduling appointments and entering data on client management systems.
- Form and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure NewAccess/YIM continues its role in a stepped care model of mental health support.
Work alongside clinicians and team coach/manager
**To succeed in this rol**e, we are looking for**:
- An understanding of the principles of recovery in mental health.
- Persons with Arabic as a first language or having competency are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Ability to remain calm when experiencing challenging scenarios during phone enquiries.
- An understanding of having lived experience of mental health challenges.
- Knowledge of the NSW mental health system and local services in SWS.
- Professional and engaging phone manner.
- Preparedness to work in a collegiate manner with peers across our programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively in all interactions with all stakeholders.
- A current driver’s licence and access to a fully insured vehicle preferred
