**The Role**
The Education Ministers Meeting (EMM) Support Team is seeking an EL1 Assistant Director. The team provides secretariat support for EMM as well as the Minister for Education and the department’s executive to effectively represent the Australian Government at multi-jurisdictional forums.
Reporting to the Director and being responsible for leading a small team, you will build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the Minister for Education, and department executives are well supported throughout the meeting cycle. You will also be required to oversee the management of papers being considered by committee members and assist staff in managing the flow of papers and responses to the relevant secretariats.
Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to handle complex tasks and shifting priorities.
