We are currently seeking a Cost Manager. As the Cost Manager you will be responsible for cost management as well as Contract Management support for Parramatta Light Rail Stage 1 including (the Project) financial tasks for the CAF TE (CAF Turnkey Engineering) department and other CAF departments as needed and supports the team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best financial decisions for the Project and the company.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Cost management/estimation and project outturn cost forecasting.
- Preparation of short-term cash-flow provisions.
- Standardizing financial information for forecasting and reporting.
- Actual cost analysis and the ability to undertake audits of cost information.
- Preparing budgets, payments planning and overall financial economic control of the Project.
- Contract administration (support for reviewing/assessing monthly subcontractor progress claims and supporting the drafting of client progress claim).
- Commercial support to contract and project management teams as required.
- Regular and accurate reporting to CAF Rail Australia/CAF TE from the Project as well as where required to the parent company in Spain.
- Preparation of the annual budget and the analyzing of monthly differences.
- Support corporate financial team in legal audits.
- Performs related duties as and when required by line manager.
- Knowledge of accounting practices.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all Australian health and safety, quality and environmental legislative requirements.

**Required profile**:
TECHNICAL PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS
- University Degree in Quantity Surveying, Business Administration or Economics.
- Languages: high level of English is compulsory, very valuable Spanish.
- Experience: 4+ years compulsory experience in cost management, financial auditing and contract administration.
