- The Asset Services Department is committed to providing the highest standard of specialised asset management and engineering maintenance to all of Austin Health’s campuses.- Asset Services is part of the Information & Services directorate and is responsible for the- operation, maintenance, repair and replacement of all buildings, plant, and all medical equipment. The department holds accountability for Austin Health’s Facility Maintenance, Biomedical Engineering and Maintenance Service teams.**About the role**
- The Shared Equipment Manager is a critical role and be responsible for establishing the shared equipment with medical assets within Austin Health. It is a new role and provide the opportunity for the right applicant to be part of a major culture change within the organisation. The role will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service to all end users of medical equipment. They will be responsible for managing the biomedical engineering team and ensuring all medical equipment is monitored and serviced to maintain AMAF compliance.- Some of the key points of the role include:
- Manage the centralised medical equipment model for all nominated medical equipment within the organisation.
- Develop processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and workflow throughout the department.
- Act as the escalation point for the service team to provide technical support, direction, and training.
- Build and maintain a dedicated team culture that promotes innovation and digital reform.
- Monitor and support staff to achieve KPIs to ensure service demands are met.
- Constantly strive for continuous improvement with plans to implement and embed.
- Deliver a high level of customer service to all end users of medical equipment.

**About you**
- As the Shared Asset Coordinator, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll bring energy and drive to your work and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.- To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a large health agency environment.
- Proven interest in pursuing a career in Health Services.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively self-manage and allocate priorities. - Understand how the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.
- Understand how Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF) align with this role.
- The person we are looking for will demonstrate Austin Health's values in all interactions with patients, consumers, and colleagues. The position will align with the organisation’s core principles, fostering a compassionate, respectful, and professional workplace culture. You will dynamic, able to think to resolve issues and develop strong relationships with a variety of different people.- The responsibilities for the is role focus on:
- Manage the service team to facilitate fast and efficient turnover of medical equipment servicing and repairs.
- Identify additional educational needs for the end user to minimise equipment break downs and failures.
- Identify and deliver the needs of the service teams training and develop to support the organisational model.
- Manage the workflows, workloads, and efficiencies of the team to maximise outputs and goals of the team.
- Identify causes of equipment failures and assist in the rectification and development in procedures to prevent recurrence.
