RCR Mining Technologies has a **6-month fixed term** work opportunity for a **Procurement Officer** at our **Welshpool Workshop** assisting with the planning, coordination and procurement of materials and services involved in the processing of scopes of work in general fabrication, structural, pipework, and pressure vessels.

In this role **your responsibilities** will include:

- Reviewing client drawings for material requirements and interpreting MTO’s required to prepare material costings
- Preparation of cost profiles for materials to enable fabrication estimates
- Liaising with multiple suppliers and sub-contractors on the supply of materials or services for tenders, estimates and document preparation
- Maintenance of the supplier databases in line with RCR document control
- Preparing, collating, and presenting all budget cost for procured items and financial projections, for project or SOW’s

To be considered for this position**, you will need**:

- A mechanical engineering trade or tertiary qualification
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical procurement role covering cost estimation for large structural, pipework, and pressure vessels fabrication projects
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Projects
- Familiarity with industry material standards and specifications
- A meticulous approach to preparation of procurement scheduling presentations and delivery to clients’ site and work teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and PM’s
- Proactive in identifying potential procurement challenges and implementing solutions to mitigate risks
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple procurement tasks concurrently
