**The Business**
Genus Infrastructure Pty Ltd (GNI) are specialists in delivering end to end innovative solutions in multiple sectors across Australia. Specialising in Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Communications & Renewable Energy; as a subsidiary of the GenusPlus Group (ASX: GNP).
**Project Overview**
Genus has been awarded a landmark contract by Western Power for the Clean Energy Link - North Region project. The project will include new 330kV & 132kV terminal builds within the existing network footprint to significantly increase transmission capacity and enable new energy sources to come online, as well as existing line conversions and reinforcement work to significantly improve the flow of renewable energy to and from the area.
**Job Summary**
The Procurement officer is responsible for overseeing and driving the procurement and purchasing process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. This role involves maintaining the Procurement Register, compiling RFQ packages, coordinating supplier prequalification, managing purchase orders, and monitoring supply chain logistics. The position requires close collaboration with project managers, construction managers, engineers, logistics teams, and administrative staff to ensure procurement aligns with operational and project requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and execute procurement activities to meet project and company needs.
- Maintain and update the Procurement Register for tracking purchases, supplier status, and contract details.
- Compile and finalise RFQ packages, integrating technical specifications, scope of work, terms and conditions, and schedules.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain a list of potential suppliers, service providers, and subcontractors.
- Onboard designated goods and service providers onto the company’s PO system.
- Follow up on RFQ responses and submissions to ensure timely procurement decisions.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including project managers, construction managers, engineers, logistics personnel, and administrators.
- Organise and conduct supplier audits to assess quality and compliance standards.
- Monitor supply chain activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Coordinate factory inspections, expediting orders, and ensuring quality control measures are met.
- Facilitate transport, logistics, and delivery schedules to align with project timelines and location requirements.
**Essential Skills / Qualifications**
- Degree or relevant qualification in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or extensive experience in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Strong background in end-to-end Procurement, purchasing, logistics, and establishing effective procurement processes in a project environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Software), Adobe Acrobat, and other programs relevant to this position.
