Based in Brisbane, you will be part of dynamic, innovative, and collaborative team renowned for its world-class thinking and solutions.
**Key accountabilities**:
- Participating in the testing, commissioning, and integration of complex signalling systems comprising of on-board and trackside communications and control systems.
- Performing factory and site testing.
- Participating in fault identification during set to work activities and during commissioning.
- Timely production of Test Plans, Procedures and Reports.
- Loading and verification of software configuration
- Supporting the engineering and validation teams where required including:
- Executing test cases / procedures in a lab environment to support lab integration activities.
- Ensuring site test execution plans are executable in the field or target environment.
- Ensure that the test and commissioning activities are executed in alignment with the Work, Health and Safety requirements of the company and the project.
- Supporting the Functional Manager in the evaluation of the performance of assigned resources, identifying the need for additional resource with project justification and identifying training needs.
**Key knowledge and experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field is essential.
- IRSE Electronic Systems Tester License or Electrical Trade qualification is desirable.
- 5-10 years' experience in the Rail or similar industry with demonstrated capability and skills in:
- Safety systems equipment and environment.
- Use of Test equipment (e.g. Digital and Analog multimeters, insulation meters, etc.)
- Use of Computer based Test software (e.g. Wireshark)
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of incident/accident investigation
- Knowledge of ERP and Configuration Management tools
- Knowledge of Database tools
- Knowledge of tendering process
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost estimation
- A willingness to travel as required by the project.
