**About Your Role**

As part of Thales Australia, our Vehicles and Tactical Systems business focuses on a range of innovative, robust and cost-effective solutions from concept through to integration and life-of-type services. Our diverse operations encompasses; Protected Vehicles, Australian Munitions, Explosive Ordinance Services and Integrated Weapons and Sensors. Reporting to the Director Protected Vehicles, this key senior leadership position will see you responsible for driving, planning and leading the Vehicle Integration and Through Life Support business to achieve results that encompasses staff safety outcomes, business growth, the delivery of customer project requirements and driving business performance in relation to key metrics.

**Key senior responsibilities will see you;**
- Lead our Eagle Farm (Brisbane) based workforce as you ensure safety systems and practices target zero harm and nurture a proactive and inclusive reporting culture in all aspects of HSE
- Providing effective leadership of a diverse and skilled industrial site, ensuring effective communication strategies are in place for maximum staff engagement, while ensuring a collaborative and inclusive culture that is focused on customer outcomes
- Providing leadership to all critical and strategic Bid and Capture plans for vehicle integration and sustainment opportunities within a buoyant market that is full of growth and opportunity
- Actively pursuing organic or adjacent business growth opportunities, in order to secure future order intake
- Directing the technical activities of operational teams in charge of delivering service packages or performing systems maintenance, complex upgrades and other critical through-life support operations
- Engaging with local business forums, to better enhance and serve the broader Thales business in the state of Queensland

**How About You?**
- Tertiary qualifications in business or engineering and/or relevant experience
- Depth of proven leadership experience in relation to a medium sized business/business segment or leadership of a large program/s, preferably within a similar Defence environment
- Strong project management skills and experience, coupled with a commercial approach in both operations and the strategic requirements of both organisation and customer requirements
- Heightened sense of self awareness, emotional intelligence and a genuine team based collaborative approach in your leadership style and everything you do
- Proven ability to foster key relationships, maximising the Thales brand within the market and the community as you influence others and achieve results through people
- Proven customer focus, backed by tangible business outcomes and a proven ability to meet and exceed business objectives
