About the Role

**Responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring international student are enrolled and supplied with textbooks, equipment, and support material
- Effectively manage international student details on a database including passport details, health cover, attendance records and student fees
- Assist with the development and coordination of an orientation program.
- Monitor ongoing welfare, adjustment, behaviour and health of international students, and escalate to supervisor as required.
- Identify and facilitate access to support services, to assist with the adjustment to living and studying in Queensland and resolve issues which could impede successful completion of study.
- Manage systems relating to recording student absences and sending academic reports to parents.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Education, and Education Queensland International (EQI) policies and procedures and able to participate in training offered by the Department and EQI.
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.

**Highly Desirable**:

- Excellent communication skills and a high level of interpersonal qualities
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- The motivation to provide quality support service to students and staff is required

**A mandatory requirement of this role is**:

- In accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 a person is prohibited from working in regulated child-related employment unless the person holds a current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
