Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven International Student Enrolment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our recruitment initiative, you will be responsible for generating and converting enrolments of international students through education agents in the Southeast Asia and China Region.

Your primary goal will be to support the Senior International Recruitment Manager in preparing and implementing student recruitment initiatives for Victoria University Brisbane to achieve onshore student recruitment targets in the specified regions.

You will represent Victoria University Brisbane at international events, recruitment exhibitions, school/university visits, student interviews, and other forums to promote leads generation and conversion. This may require significant amounts of international travel.

In addition to your regular duties, you will conduct conversion activities as directed by the Recruitment Team, maintain and provide regular/monthly reports on conversion and enrolment numbers, and build/maintain effective working relationships with a range of agents and internal student acquisition functions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor-level qualification or relevant sales experience suitable to Higher Education sectors.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as an International Recruitment Manager/Sales or demonstrated knowledge of the Higher Education sector and student recruitment landscape, particularly in Southeast Asia and/or Greater China Region.
  • Possess drive, motivation, and attention to detail to ensure all sales opportunities are captured and explored.
  • Proven success in sales ability and full knowledge of the sales process.
  • A working knowledge of regulatory environments specific to international education.
  • Confident negotiator and ability to close deals.
  • A positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and prioritise tasks.
  • Strong communication skills in all forms.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A positive attitude towards dealing with people.
  • Capable of working independently and having responsibility as an individual.
