**Description**:
**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Working within the vision of SwanCare the Roster Coordinator optimises the rostering for Care, Nursing, Allied Health, Housekeeping and Administrative employees within the Bentley Park care facilities, taking into account employee availability, to produce rosters which maximise employee productivity balanced against operational costs.

**Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Generates fortnightly rosters for Care, Nursing, Allied Health, Housekeeping and Administrative employees in the rostering IT system.
- On boarding of new staff.
- Manages planned and unplanned vacancies within the fortnightly rosters and replaces staff as required.
- Rosters with resident requirements and preferences prioritised wherever possible.
- Makes adjustments to the roster on a daily basis, in accordance with any changes that have occurred over night or on the weekend.
- Updates employee availability on a monthly basis or as needed.
- Processes and enters leave forms that have been approved into Optima. Ensures the employee provides the necessary documentation (i.e. forms, Medical Certificate) and forwards this to Payroll.
- Updates daily allocations and ‘Lock’s off’ each day in Optima and notifies Payroll.
- Liaises with People and Culture staff for award interpretations.
- Works closely with Manager Care Services and People and Culture to ensure efficient and cost-effective rostering.
- Identify permanent shift vacancies and report these to Manager Care Services & People and Culture.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Working rights within Australia
- National Police Clearance less than 6 months old or NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Influenza Statement
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- Current WA Driver’s Licence
- Previous experience in rostering
- Well-developed skills in the use of an electronic rostering system such as Optima
- Well-developed skills and knowledge of Microsoft office suite, in particular; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and Internet
- Ability to maintain non-disclosure of confidential and sensitive information that may be critical to operational and financial success.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work in a close team environment
- Demonstrated willingness to be adaptable to different situations and tasks on a day-to-day basis
