**Salary - $139,787 to $161,663 (Clerk Grade 11/12)**
**Your role**
As part of the Strategy & Policy Team with Homes NSW, The Manager, Homelessness Strategy will manage whole of government policy and systems reform in relation to social housing and homelessness, aligned with the NSW Homelessness Strategy and the in development Homes for NSW Plan.
**What you’ll do**
You will lead and manage a team in the development, delivery and implementation of a portfolio of policy and project initiatives and reforms that support organisational objectives and state commitments. The Manager works in partnership with diverse stakeholders, including across NSW Government, non-government service providers, advocacy groups, private sector leaders, researchers and people with lived experience.
**What we’re looking for**
- Lead and undertake research, analysis and review of complex policy issues, identifying emerging issues, and developing evidence-based options and strategies, to ensure problems are resolved and risks are mitigated.
- Provide expert advice and support on homelessness or sub-market housing, including coordination and delivery of detailed speaking notes, event/meeting briefing notes, policy advice, program reports, correspondence, and a range of parliamentary documents.
- Lead and manage team/s to support the Department in meeting policy commitments and/or roll-out of significant policy initiatives
- Develop and implement strategies for the monitoring and evaluation of all policy initiatives to identify risks and issues and ensure the achievement of desired outcomes
- Lead and facilitate stakeholder engagement, consultation and negotiation on the development of women’s safety policies and programs in NSW.
- Oversee the preparation of reports, briefs and correspondence to inform or respond to Department and/or Government requests.
- Provide secretariat support for interagency committees and other external groups, as required
- Effectively manage tender processes and contracts, as required
