An exciting opportunity exists for a Finance officer to join the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service Finance team.

**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Undertake monthly financial accounting processes, prepare reconciliations and workpapers in relation to the fixed assets, bank accounts, prepayments, inventory registers, other asset related balances, accounts payable, GR/IR, and other liability related balances, ensuring compliance with the Australian Accounting Standards and financial reporting requirements for Queensland Government agencies.
- Prepare and process journals, including monthly accruals, prepayments and other journals as required to ensure the accurate recording of financial transactions and to assist with maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
- Investigate and clear reconciling items and other accounting exceptions on a timely basis.
- Maintain accuracy and reliability of the SCHHS fixed asset register by processing fixed asset acquisitions, transfers and retirement requests, preparing monthly exception reporting and clearing any findings in a timely manner.
