An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Principle Quality Officer in Brisbane.
**Your new company**
Your new company plays a vital part in the delivery of lifesaving, community safety and state support services. They pride themselves in providing a range of high-quality corporate services to a range of crucial services in Queensland. Due to recent growth they’re looking to welcome a Principle Quality Officer to the team in Brisbane.
**Your new role**
In your new role as the Principle Quality Officer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management Systems, assuring ongoing compliance with aviation regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will be to:
- Develop, implement, and manage a Quality Management System (QMS) which assures ongoing compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulatory requirements and Civil Aviation Orders
- Develop, implement, and manage an Approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) which assures ongoing compliance with Part 145 of the CASR 1998
- Develop a robust audit schedule and undertake audits of internal and external supplier processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and identify quality improvement opportunities
- Coordinate and participate in the evaluation and implementation of change management initiatives, identifying hazards, risks, and conducting SWOT analyses of current and emerging aviation industry trends to maintain CASA regulatory compliance
- Maintain oversight of document control and data management practices and processes to ensure personnel have access to current and controlled aviation processes and procedures
- Research, analyse, and prepare high level reports and presentations to senior leadership in the performance of Quality Management Services, recommending improvements and corrective action when required
- Develop processes and procedures for the ongoing maintenance of Air Operator’s Certification and training requirements to address potential deficiencies and implement changes for continuous improvement and CASA regulatory compliance
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will have significant practical experience as a Quality Officer within the Aviation Industry. As well as this you will possess:
- Lead Auditor Qualification from a recognised industry training provider
- Ability to maintain CASA Form 4 approval as Quality Manager
- Experience in the development of Expositions
- Working knowledge of CASR Part 145 and the Part 145 Manual of Standards
- Working knowledge of CASR Part 42 and the Part 42 Manual of Standards
- Formal qualification in Quality Management
- At least 2 years’ experience in Quality Management System activities in an aviation environment
Please note Australian Citizenship is essential for this position as you will be required to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
