**About the Role**:
The position requires that the incumbent have a high level of experience in auditing, quality standards and document control. They will be reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, part of our technical team. As an organisation we perform construction work across various industries including mining, piping, oil, and gas as well as general building and infrastructure, in addition to this, Sun Engineering is a steel fabrication business.

The opportunity is based at Carole Park, QLD where our operations are based, you may be required to travel to site from time to time. The position entails the following:

- Liaise with QA Manager, Project Managers and Workshop Welding Coordinator.
- Conduct quality control/assurance inspections and provide final compliance sign off upon completion.
- Compile, develop and maintain weld maps and registers.
- Compile and maintain NDT requests and registers.
- Facilitate continuous development and improvement of quality assurance procedures.

**Requirements of this position**:

- Understand Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and Weld Procedure Specification (WPS).
- Sound knowledge of weld specifications AS1554.
- Experience with Steel Fabrication, SMP Construction projects and Piping.
- Understand Main Roads specification MRTS78.
- Prepared to visit project operations when required.
