You’ll be based in our new state-of-the-art headquarters in Osborne Park, with access to a high-end gym, wellness centre, café and restaurant.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, as the Quality Manager you’ll play a key role in moving this project into its Delivery Phase - encompassing early development work, mine site development, bulk ore transportation system, port works and mine processing plant.

This is a hands on position that will be closely involved with all project phases, functions and personnel.

**Your key responsibilities**

The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the Quality Assurance and Quality Control matters for projects in order to continuously enable project team to meet & better the contract quality requirements in a progressive timely manner.
- Produce and own Quality Management plans and Quality Management tools as required.
- Review and monitor Quality systems utilized on the projects for compliance inclusive of Suppliers and Subcontractors documentation in the progressive compilation of MDR’s to the Project Quality Plan and Procedures.
- Ensure all commissioning tests, ‘as built’ drawings, Operations and Maintenance manuals and test results are completed, recorded and submitted in accordance with Project requirements.
- Ensure project teams submit and complete to the applicable project standards all required QA/QC surveillance and documentation.
- Liaise with Clients, Project Managers and teams on all quality matters along with reporting to the Manager Projects on project status.
- Develop quality management plans in accordance with the relevant requirements set out in company procedures and Australian standards
- Compile quality work packs in readiness for site construction, installations and field inspections.
- Audit construction sites to ensure compliance with standards and procedures
- Compile and audit manufactures data reports
- Ensure checks have been completed in accordance with installation and operation manuals prior to commissioning
- Coordinate and perform inspections according to ITPs and quality management plans and procedures
- Audit relevant welding procedures ensuring welder qualifications are carried out to meet the criteria set out in the procedures, and full compliance has been met
- Work with civil and electrical engineers to prepare work packs
- Training of project team members on quality documentation and surveillance activities

We’re looking for someone with proven hands on project delivery experience in a similar role, preferably within an iron ore project across a broad scope of disciplines.

**What you will bring to the team**
- A minimum of 7 years in a quality manager’s role in a design and construction environment.
- Understanding of construction timing for relevant documentation: Understanding of Gantt charts, critical
- Be familiar with the relevant Australian standards for welding
- Familiarity with relevant Australian standards for welding, concrete or electrical works
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, supply vendors and the construction team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer literacy and knowledge with MS Office Suite, Team Binder, Bluebeam, AutoCAD.
