**Portfolio Manager**
**3-year temporary assignment**
**Lead and manage a portfolio of strategic projects in the Digital & Identity Security directorate. Lead and oversee projects from development, to implementation and closure, providing expert advice to your team and key stakeholders.**

**Clerk Grade: 11/12**
**Employment Type: Temp (3-years), Full-time**
**Location: Pyrmont with flexible working options**
**This role sits within Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) the Identity Security & Digital Division in the IT & Program Delivery team**

**About the team**
The NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages is an agency within the NSW Department of Customer Service. The Registry was formed in 1856 to register life events in NSW accurately and securely for all time. This includes the registration of births, deaths and marriages and official changes of name and sex.

**Your day-to-day**
Lead and manage a portfolio of strategic projects in the Digital & Identity Security directorate. Lead and oversee projects from development, to implementation and closure, providing expert advice to your team and key stakeholders.

**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:

- ** **Lead the development and oversight of a portfolio of projects, identifying interdependencies and leveraging resources to maximise efficiencies and achieve required organisation outcomes
- Lead and oversee all aspects of project development, implementation and closure across a portfolio of complex projects, including preparing business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance, identifying, allocating and managing resources, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line best practice project management methodology
- Develop and implement strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, and project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues and assess project progress and overall effectiveness.
