**The Role**
The Maritime Cross Platform Systems Program Office (MCPSPO) are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated EL1 Commercial to lead our Commercial Support Team. The position requires excellent interpersonal, negotiation, governance, and procurement and contract management skills.

As the Commercial Manager, you will be adept at managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors. You will balance a complex relationship of commercial, capability and governance demands in support of MCPSPO product schedule delivery.

Specific duties will include:

- Deliver ongoing commercial support to MCPSPO staff in the development and delivery of commercial arrangements and projects.
- Preparation of written documentation, including senior management briefing and reports and procurement documentation.
- Management of the MCPSPO’s commercial Governance and Assurance outcomes.
- Manage commercial resources to meet operational capability requirements across the SPO.
- Assist in MCPSPO commercial strategic planning.
- Develop and maintain enterprise stakeholder relationships.

You will lead a team of staff to achieve these outcomes. Collaboratively managing and resolving contract risks and issues as well as identifying opportunities and bringing together Defence and Industry partners in the focus of capability requirements is integral to the role.

You will possess a high level of commercial knowledge and experience, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement to deliver outcomes in a complex and technical environment.

**About our Team**
The Maritime Cross Platform Systems Program Office (MCPSPO) within Maritime Systems Division, is the lead agency for delivery of cross-Class sustainment services and advice across the maritime environment.

MCPSPO sustains and manages a range of complex military systems and supplies, through an extensive network of industry partners, domestic and off-shore. Our operating environment is complex and challenging, and requires exceptional contract and relationship management skills.

MCPSPO is comprised of three functions:

- Commercial
- Sustainment
- Engineering

The teams work together in a complex, fast paced environment as part of a diverse and inclusive Branch environment that encompasses a variety of knowledge, skills and experience within a supportive hierarchy. You will be working with talented colleagues, who will provide you with guidance and support to ensure that you have everything you need to succeed.
