
Supply Chain and Procurement Leader

**The role**
This purpose of this role is to execute the Sourcing strategy through a team of procurement and supply chain professionals. You will be responsible for managing relationships with key suppliers in order to ensuring that maximum value is extracted over the contractual term; that negotiated agreements are implemented in full; and that benefits identified at the start of the contractual agreement are realised over the life of the contract.
The role covers a broad range of materials and services, including energy (mainly gas and electricity), raw materials, waste and materials handling, manufactured spares and consumables, maintenance contractors and capital equipment.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading a procurement and supply chain function,
- Category management,
- Facilitating continuous improvement activities associated with supply chain and procurement systems, tools and associated processes across the Australian business,
- Leading contract management including liaising with vendors to ensure that relevant procurement contractual obligations are being met to agreed service standards,
- Managing internal customer relationships including negotiating and influencing on improvement outcomes,
- Being a champion for health, safety and wellbeing across the organisation.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Substantial experience as a Supply Chain & Procurement professional, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Have extensive experience in developing, leading and executing sourcing strategies to optimise cost savings outcomes and meet stakeholder requirements,
- Be tertiary qualified and have high level understanding of developing, implementing and improving reporting systems and processes within a complex supply chain environment
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching and development of a team
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritise to manage competing demands
- Possess a strong track record in project management and decision making based on detailed analysis and interpretation of complex data,
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence others,
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve with a level-headed approach,
- Exposure to supply chain processes and procedures applicable to maintenance, repairs and overhauls of complex equipment would be highly advantageous.
