**About the role**

Join one of the fastest growing regions as Planner (Development) and provide professional planning support in the assessment of development proposals. You will ensure quality planning outcomes for the city through your expert advice and detailed assessments.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Consult and negotiate on matters of a complex development nature with developers, consultants and members of the public
- Provide professional and technical planning advice to stakeholders
- Assist in business process improvements

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Degree in town planning from a recognised tertiary education institution and relevant experience
- Sound knowledge of relevant planning legislation
- Communication and negotiation skills

This is a fixed term position until July 2026 with a salary commencing at $102,718 plus 12.5% superannuation.
