Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Reporting, Parliamentary and Media Officer on a contract for 12 months.

**Position Overview**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Specific duties include:

- The delivery of HPRG’s parliamentary functions to ensure a high standard of input and coordination of Briefs, Ministerial Correspondence, Questions on Notice and Senate Estimates Briefs.
- The preparation and co-ordination of media requests to HPRG for executive clearance and approval.
- Coordinate and prepare various requests for HPRG input and advice.
- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain good professional working relationships.
- Manage junior team members, organise training as required and assist with the development of other staff, as required.
- Assist the section to effectively, implement change and ensure the adoption of best practice.
- As requested, provide support to the First Assistant Secretary, Regulatory Practice and Support Division.
- The position may also assist other functions as required.

**Knowledge and Skills Required**:

- High level written and oral communications skills.
- Proofing and editing skills, with the ability to interpret content and assess it is fit for purpose.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Administration and coordination experience.
- High level of motivation, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, time management and communication skills.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Applicants be eligible to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance at a minimum and NV1 Security Clearance where required by the agency.

**Eligibility Requirements**:

- Australian Citizenship is essential
- A Baseline security Clearance is required for this position.
