**About the Opportunity**

To provide support to the Head of Events in effectively leading and managing the Melbourne events teams and strive to meet or exceed business targets. We connect our customers’ audiences to their business and/or strategic message by creating innovative events, compelling incentive programs and exciting branding and communications. We create experiences that make memories for the audience, whether in person or virtually, by stimulating their hearts and minds to optimise their engagement.

**What you will be doing**:

- Be fully accountable for the projects under your direction and work with the Head of Events, Sales Team and the customer to ensure that the event brief and budget are fully understood to deliver creative and logístically sound solutions.
- Ability to develop and manage existing customer relationships for consistent and repeat business opportunities.
- Support workflow and resource management across all projects and within the greater Events team.
- Mentoring & training team members in FCM Meeting & Events policy, systems, processes and platforms.

**You'll be perfect for this role if you can showcase**:

- Degree qualified, preferred in Project or Event Management
- A minimum of 8 years demonstrated experience in project management within the event management and production industry.
- Proven track record in effective leadership and experience in training and mentoring team members
- A knowledge of all major suppliers and relevant MICE products and destinations
- Knowledge of project management processes, standards and procedures
- Demonstrated experience in project management with the event management sand production industry
