**Your new role**

Working as a Young Carers Education Engagement Officer (YCEEO), you will be responsible for increasing engagement and awareness of young carers with people from schools, TAFE and Universities.

You will be tasked with increasing awareness and support for all young carers in the community. This means travelling to different educational institutions and presenting to groups about the importance of young carers within the community and how they can be supported.

Some key responsibilities would include:

- Delivering high quality presentations on the importance of young carers and how they are supported.
- Working collaboratively between multiple areas of the organisation and ensure all programs are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.
- Promote a culture that values a high level of customer service to all carers, stakeholders, and co-workers.

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced in health promotion or education. This includes but not limited to a tertiary qualification in the field of health promotion or experience within community development, focusing on youth work.

Some other key requirements include:

- High level of public speaking and presentation skills
- Proven experience working in an outcome focused environment
- Current working with children check
- Current drivers’ licence with access to one’s own vehicle
- Background in an education based environment is preferred
