A great opportunity exists to join Zurich’s General Insurance team as a Property Underwriter, based in our Adelaide office.
As a market facing Property Underwriter, you will be required to analyse and underwrite new and renewal business, under general direction, using the Zurich way of Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels on assignments of technical complexity ensuring an elevated level of service to customers.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and strong experience in the Insurance sector
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of progression of positions of increasing responsibility
- In-depth knowledge of line(s) of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to effectively assess risk
- Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing, regulations, and guidelines
- Exceptional communication skills to manage stakeholders located locally and interstate
- Solid knowledge of processing methods and workflow procedures, and basic knowledge of insurance underwriting and regulations for assigned territories.
- Ability to work within a team environment, developing working relationships with local and interstate peers
- Flexible working approach with willingness to adapt and work with innovative digital solutions
