The opportunity
As a National Portfolio Specialist within the Chief Underwriting Office, you will report to the National Manager Portfolio Underwriting Support. In this role you be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including system focused work and portfolio analysis on a national basis to ensure the Consumer portfolios achieve their objectives.
Your new role
- Regulatory and PDS updates closely aligned with our disclosure teams
- Underwriting audits
- Product reviews and policy wording reviews along with competitor market analysis
- Close internal stakeholder interactions with underwriting and pricing teams
- Exposure across multiple product lines and deliverables with no two days being the same
- Provide support to the Product Working Group(s) and Product Committee(s)
About You
- Extensive experience within Insurance, Underwriting or Product specialty
- Working knowledge of short tail Motor or Property lines preferred
- Broad knowledge of risk management, portfolio management and underwriting
- A proven self-starter attitude with the ability to adapt, motivation to learn and a willingness to take ownership
- Proven ability to think laterally and analytically to solve problems
- Good organisational skills, an eye for detail and able to plan, prioritise and adapt
- Ability to communicate to and with all levels of the organisation
