Event Assistant - Casual Role (Sydney)

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Event Assistant to join our team for a casual role. This position is perfect for someone who is physically fit, motivated, and passionate about event setup.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with the installation of draping, lighting, and other event decor, including climbing ladders (up to 5m).
- Help with event pack-downs, including night shifts.
- Work within tight timeframes to ensure events run smoothly.
- Communicate effectively with the team and venue staff to ensure seamless event execution.

**Requirements**:

- Must be available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays potential for an alternating week roster if preffered.
- Strong, confident, and physically capable of handling the demands of the role (climbing ladders, lifting and carrying materials).
- Excellent communication skills to work efficiently with a team and liaise with venue staff.
- Reliable and punctual.
- No prior experience needed - full training provided.
- A valid driver’s license and own car are required to get to jobs across Sydney, as some locations are not easily accessible by public transport.
- Travel outside Sydney (Hunter Valley/ Bowral) required at times.
- Ability to work independently after initial training.

Preferred Qualifications:

- A rigging license, working at heights certification, or EWP license will be highly regarded.

Award Rate: This role is paid at the Miscellaneous Award NSW rate.
