Seeking Policy Adviser to work in oil and gas sector
**Your new company**
Our client owns and operates Western Australia's largest gas distribution network, with more than 750,000 connection points and 14,000km of pipelines.

**Your new role**
We are looking for Policy Adviser to join their business on a permanent basis. The role will provide policy advice for their operations in Western Australia, you will be responsible for analysis of current and proposed energy policy and regulations impacting on operations and monitoring government engagement. Using your knowledge of government, this role will assist in advocacy to transition the gas distribution network to a renewable future and support its following Access Arrangement process.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Minimum 1-3 years of direct and relatable experience in government or the energy industry
- Degree qualified in Economics, Commerce, or a discipline related to energy market policy and regulation.
- Demonstrated understanding of government operations and an ability to interpret legislation
- Knowledge of energy market and regulatory bodies in WA and nationally
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complicated concepts in plain English.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively without significant oversight.
- Demonstrated project management skills, working on multiple issues and tight timeframes.
- Be comfortable advocating for policy reform internally and externally
