Perth, Australia Australian Wildlife Conservancy Full time

**Introduction**:
Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) is a global leader in conservation, providing hope for Australia’s wildlife with a science-informed, land management partnership approach which delivers high impact results. We protect endangered wildlife across 12.9 million hectares in iconic regions such as the Kimberley, Cape York, the Top End and Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre.

AWC's mission - to deliver effective conservation for all native animal species and their habitats - is achieved by:

- Operations - delivering effective large-scale land management including fire management, feral animal control, weed control and infrastructure management.
- Science - delivering the largest national biological survey program with a focus on measuring the population of indicator species and the extent of threatening processes as well as conducting research on key issues such as feral cat control.
- Fundraising - mobilising finance (primarily, tax deductible donations) from the general public and philanthropists including through effective communication of field updates from around the AWC estate.

This is a central role within the Development team that collaborates across all business areas to engage audiences in our fundraising objectives, coordinate appeal and campaign-related coverage, convert new audiences to supporters and lead strategies to increase donor giving and fundraising.

**Skills and Experiences**:

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline,
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership in a multi-channel fundraising/sales role, covering a variety of areas across fundraising (digital donor acquisition, mass donor stewardship, bequests, etc.),
- Knowledge of current philanthropy/fundraising issues or the ability to readily acquire knowledge,
- Demonstrated prior experience in leading a fundraising or sales program of scale and complexity,
- Demonstrated knowledge of CRM-based client relationship management and the interaction of fundraising programs with an organisation's data management system,
- Exceptional communication, influencing, relationship skills, with a proven ability to liaise with a multitude of stakeholders to build engagement and establish solid relationships for the purpose of fundraising,
- Strong organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage a large number of relationships and execute many tasks simultaneously in an efficient manner,
- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and managing a team,
- Demonstrated ability to act as part of a team or, as required, independently,
