**About the role**
As the Operations Team Leader in our Steelmaking department, you will lead a team of Operators across multi-shifts to execute steelmaking production plans with a focus on quality, safety and efficiency.

You will be responsible for:

- General operations, including the safety, performance, planning and training of your shift operations team as well as the coordination of any indirect reports such as shift maintenance and contractors
- Implementation of strategies to continuously improve the safety and operational performance of your team
- Maintain key relationships with our customers, key stakeholders and internal teams
- Manage your department’s production plan in terms of quality, quantity and timeliness
- Optimising asset management through operational discipline and cost management processes

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate safety and customer as core personal values and have a number of years frontline leadership experience. Also essential is a strong understanding of manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement processes, as well as previous experience working within a continuous production operation.
