The International Services Officer (Agent
Commissions) works within the International
Relations team, and is responsible for raising,
reconciling and paying $20m+ in agent
commission costs per annum. Duties also
include executing new and extended

Recruitment Services Agreements (RSAs),
running reports, reconciling student enrolments
and financial data between systems and
reviewing and processing invoices for
payment. A key requirement of this role is to
liaise with international agents to ensure that
commissions have been calculated accurately
and are paid in a timely manner.

This position works closely with the
Coordinator, International Relations for day-to
- day task management and reports to the Head
of International Relations for supervision,
workload management and for Performance
Planning and Review (PPR).

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Provide a high standard of client service by

liaising with international agents and
promptly responding to queries regarding
the reconciliation of variances.
- Run enrolment reports from the Student

and Academic Management System
(SAMS) at key census dates.
- Reconcile agent and enrolment data

between the StudyLink applicant portal and
SAMS to ensure agent commission
calculations are accurate and reflect QUT’s
contractual agreements.
- Send agent commission reports to QUT’s

international agents in a timely manner.
- Escalate unresolved reconciliation

variances to the relevant International
Regional Manager.
- Review all agent commission invoices to

ensure that they reconcile with QUT’s
records and arrange for payment in a timely
manner, liaising with agents and the
relevant Regional Manager as appropriate.
- Prepare new and renewed recruitment

services agreements (RSAs), support
regular reviews of agent performance, and
facilitate change of agent requests.
- Maintain accurate and consistent details of

QUT’s relationships with international
recruitment agents across a number of
QUT and external systems.
- Respond to enquiries from current and

prospective agents in a professional and
timely manner.
- Develop and maintain process and

procedure documentation relating to agent
commissions and agent support.
- Support the activities of the International

Relations team by assisting and providing
back up for other team members as
required.
- Participate in and implement outcomes of

business process reviews relating to agent
commissions and agent support, under the
guidance of the Head of International
Relations.
- Compliance with health and safety policies,

procedures, hazard reporting and safe work
practices.
To ensure job flexibility the successful
appointee may be required to:

- perform any other duties as nominated by

the University consistent with the relevant
classification descriptors detailed in the
Enterprise Agreement. Staff undertaking
any new duties will receive training;
- participate in job rotation or multiskilling in

consultation with their supervisor;
- work across campuses

This appointment will be offered on an
ongoing, full-time basis.

Selection Criteria

1. Education, training and/or experience
equivalent to the completion of a degree in
accounting or finance (or closely related
discipline) with subsequent relevant
experience.

2. Well-developed interpersonal and written
communication skills to enable effective
communication with clients, while
maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

3. Demonstrated experience with financial
systems and reports (such as Oracle
financials or similar) with demonstrated
digital literacy in the MS Office suite,
particularly Microsoft Excel.

4. Demonstrated ability to operate
methodically with a high attention to detail
reasoning when resolving issues.

5. Demonstrated organisational skills,
including the ability to plan and prioritise
work to meet set deadlines.

6. Demonstrated ability to connect and
collaborate with colleagues and work in a
team environment, as well as
independently with mínimal supervision.

7. Demonstrated ability to contribute to a
culture that is committed to the continuous
improvement of systems, policies and
procedures.

**Remuneration and Benefits**

The classification for this position is Higher
Education Worker Level 5 (HEW5) which has
an annual remuneration range of $83,609 to
$94,271 pa. Which is inclusive of an annual
salary range of $70,650 to $79,660 pa, 17%
superannuation, and leave loading.
