The NewsWire provides breaking news content to the whole of NewsCorp, as well as external clients. As a trusted breaking news brand, the wire is dedicated to delivering compelling news and sport coverage, with a focus on breaking news, politics, court and crime. As we continue to innovate and grow, we are seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to join our editorial leadership team. The Chief of Staff plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and guiding our team of reporters and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the newsroom. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent organisational and communication skills, a deep understanding of the news cycle, and a passion for producing high-impact journalism.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead the Newsroom: Direct and manage a team of reporters, to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality reporting.
+ Set the Editorial Agenda: Work closely with the Editor and Deputy Editor to define and shape the daily direction, ensuring content aligns with the wire’s vision
+ Manage News Coverage: Oversee coverage of breaking news, with a key focus on courts and crime
+ Coordinate Reporting Efforts: Ensure seamless collaboration between reporters, editors, photographers, and other departments to meet deadlines and produce engaging, informative content.

+ Ability to contribute to setting the editorial agenda and ensuring content aligns with our vision
