We are a mid sized supportive team, so the opportunity to help shape a new direction for the brand and explore new opportunities in content development will have you working collaboratively across the team and through the College.
Your expertise and efforts will contribute to the goal of generating positive media stories and fostering key stakeholder relationships while raising the profile of the college.
**This role involves**:
- Developing communications, public relations, content and key event; plans, schedules and protocol.
- Identifying content opportunities, writing media releases and articles as part of ongoing proactive and reactive media engagement and liaison.
- Identifying and building relationships with industry stakeholders, including fostering strong relationships with media and key journalists to ensure story traction.
- Writing and editing news items showcasing achievements, events and initiatives on the ACAP website.
- Working with the broader content and campaign teams to dovetail curated content for student recruitment and social channels.
- Being integral to the team in building and developing a library of content using a wide range of media - videos, print, podcasts as well as digital assets to be used organically and via paid campaigns.
- Working with the Divisional Corporate Affairs Manager in the creation and management of PR and communication activities and in issue or crisis management situation as required.
**We would love you to have**:
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, corporate affairs or marketing.
- Extensive experience in a public relations, journalism, communications or media role, ideally in an agency environment or in the education sector.
- Proven experience in creating positive media coverage and delivering community and media engagement.
- Superior communication, copywriting, and proofreading skills.
- Client management and an ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders from diverse disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities to deliver results on message, on brand, on time.
