**About Liquor & Gaming NSW**?
Liquor & Gaming NSW administers the regulatory framework for the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino and registered clubs sectors in NSW. This includes undertaking compliance and enforcement activities, providing policy advice to government, licensing certain activities and delivering industry support and education activities.??

**About the role**?
The Lead Inspector guides a team of compliance staff responsible for undertaking a range of compliance-related activities, including inspections and investigations, across assigned areas of responsibility in order to support the achievement of regulatory objectives.

**Essential Requirements**?
- Willingness and availability to meet the shift-work requirements of the role.
- A current NSW driver licence.
**Key Accountabilities**?
- Manage and coordinate the activities of team members, provide guidance and mentoring, and manage day to day work performance, to support operational effectiveness and optimise regulatory outcomes.
- Undertake and lead timely, targeted and risk-based inspections, complaints, investigations, desktop reviews and other activities (including frequent rostered weekend and late-night deployments) to identify and address non-compliance.
- Monitor and guide performance to ensure day to day compliance activities are undertaken in a cohesive, consistent, effective and efficient manner in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols.
- Research, collaborate, plan and coordinate to ensure compliance activities are targeted toward high risk areas, to optimise regulatory outcomes.
- Provide timely, informed guidance, advice and support on relevant and more difficult/sensitive matters to management, staff and other key stakeholders.
- Contribute to projects and initiatives associated with the development, implementation and continual improvement of a strategic, risk-based approach to compliance programs.
- Maintain constructive relationships with key stakeholders, including co-regulators and industry stakeholders, in order to optimise outcomes.
