About the Project
The Department of Transport, through Head, Transport for Victoria, has contracting relationships with our major train and tram operators - Yarra Trams & Metro Trains Melbourne, managed on behalf of the Victorian Government. The Department of Transport is establishing a new project team, which will be comprehensively reviewing the State's franchise framework.
About the Opportunity
This role will work closely with the broader project leadership team and manage the communications and relationships with the project's external and internal Department of Transport stakeholders.
This includes accountability for designing and delivering an effective communications and engagement strategy to ensure both internal and external stakeholders are consulted at key milestones and stakeholder issues are proactively managed.

**Qualifications**:
Mandatory
- A proven record of leading communications and engagement for government initiatives, ideally in a public transport setting.
- Demonstrated experience working on major commercial projects in either public and/or private sectors.

Desirable
- A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, public relations or a related discipline is highly regarded.
