
Sales Development Manager

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Work with business units to deliver revenue, margin, and growth targets in a defined territory/channel.
- Develop and execute a business plan, and build targeted account plans, resulting in a robust business growth pipeline. Align with sales leaders on strategic accounts and growth targets across the sales channel
- Support sales org on customer relationships at a strategic level with joint sales activities. Establish strong and healthy relationships with different stakeholders in existing and new accounts
- Managing leads, and opportunities in the CRM system
- Coordinate SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) with Hydraulic Centres and supporting functions.
- Coordinate and support on-site product training.
- Conduct periodic reviews of business to ensure accurate forecasting and opportunity management; analyse wins and losses; present regular, accurate reports for management for review.
- Build and maintain quality internal relationships across the organisation.
- Meet/exceed annual sales/pipeline targets and performance KPIs.
- Travel as required within Australia and abroad.
**Background & Skills**:
- 5+ years experience in direct sales, and/or business development within the fluid power industry combined with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business administration.
- Demonstrated success in developing and effectively implementing sales solutions to meet the customers’ needs and drive business results.
- Ability to construct detailed sales plans, develop, conduct training seminars, make presentations, and prepare quotes and tenders.
- Strong customer-facing presentation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated customer relationship management experience.
- Build and maintain a strong understanding of the industry and competitor trends.
- Ability to proactively engage with both corporate and site-based external stakeholders and clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate the Danfoss value proposition to prospects and clients.
- Knowledge of fluid conveyance and hydraulic products (Desirable).
- Proficient user of MS Office tools.
