With a primary focus on the sale, distribution and marketing of highly recognizable Australian products, our client has been involved in the success of iconic Australian brands.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a vital role in the finance department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role is a 6 month contract, with an immediate start preferred. Great working arrangements available, working 3 days from their Abbotsford office, and 2 from home.

**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Process invoices, expense claims, and payment requests promptly and accurately;
- Verify and reconcile supplier statements, ensuring any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and resolve any issues related to payments;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures;
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations;
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required.

**SKILLS & EXPERTISE**
- Possess previous experience working in accounts payable or a similar finance role;
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.;
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data;
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders;
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment;
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.
