We are currently seeking a full time permanent Civic Events Coordinator to join a supportive team of Communications and Engagement professionals.
You will take a lead role in delivering Civic Events.
You will be responsible for coordinating a range of Civic Events that help to celebrate the diversity and pride of the people in Brimbank.
A self starter who is a passionate event organiser, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good understanding of working in the public sector.
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual who works well managing multiple tasks and to tight timelines.
Brimbank City Council is a Child Safe organisation. Brimbank will implement all necessary measures to ensure a safe and supporting Council environment, which endeavours to promote child safe, child friendly practices.

- Demonstrated experience in event organisation including the appropriate management of risk, publicity and protocols
- Essential:

- Understanding of appropriate protocols as they relate to State, Federal and Local Government
- Essential:

- Understanding of requirement of undertaking risk assessments and event planning
- Essential:

- Understanding of transparency and good governance in awards and event management
- Desirable:

- Experience in marketing communications and using appropriate promotional activities
