An exciting newly-created opportunity has become available for an experienced individual to join Guy Carpenter and support business growth and revenue production for Public Sector clients in the Pacific region. Reporting to the CEO, you will manage all aspects of new, renewal and prospective business for assigned clients/accounts.

The successful individual will utilise their Federal or State government experience to play a strategic role in both the growth of our business, as well as helping government clients to strengthen their risk management strategies. This role offers a supportive and collaborative team environment within a dynamic, innovative and highly successful global organisation.

**We will count on you to**:

- Produce and manage business development and revenue generation for the Public Sector
- Develop and present new/renewal/prospective presentations to clients and reinsurers to grow revenue
- Connect with other businesses within Marsh McLennan to implement total solutions for Australia
- Connect with other regions (UK, US etc.) to drive business growth
- Connect with Strategic Advisory, Analytics and Advisory groups to provide expert and technical support to clients
- Support the best broking practice, which includes client proposal, presentation, market submission and execution
- Support the development and presentation of innovative solutions for client needs and complex risk situations
- Advise clients and negotiate transactions to drive revenue growth and grow client broking client base
- Identify and pursue potential opportunities to win new clients and projects to drive overall unit or department revenue growth
- Coordinate more complex responses to client queries and concerns to ensure issues are resolved completely and promptly
- Grow and maintain strong relationships with insurers/reinsurers, clients, and colleagues to drive high client satisfaction at senior levels at the client
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of coverage various lines of business and Insurance/reinsurance markets

**What you need to have**:

- Over 5 years relevant experience in the Australian Public Sector
- Strong analytical and technical skills. Comfortable with conducting comparative analysis, managing large amounts of data in an efficient manner
- Ability to articulate complex and technical information in layperson and concise ways through strong written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated to seek out knowledge, test ideas and ways to contribute to the team. Ability to identify trends in the market and find innovation solutions
- Commercially astute and strong business sense. Strong negotiation skills
- Outstanding project management skills, in planning ahead the different milestones to achieve and execute in a timely manner with strong commitment on quality
